Irvinesoft is a California-based software company building AI-powered mobile applications that help individuals and businesses improve productivity and streamline daily operations.
One of its products, Power Receipt, is a receipt scanner and expense management app: users scan paper receipts, and AI-powered data recognition organizes them into searchable, exportable records — by project, folder, and category.
To support the app's growth, Irvinesoft needed to increase brand awareness, improve visibility across digital channels, and attract new users through organic, content-driven marketing. That's where I came in.
Power Receipt operated in a market dominated by well-established expense management players — the Expensifys and QuickBooks of the world. The app offered strong functionality, but it had limited brand awareness, a small digital footprint, and no consistent social media presence.
I needed to make the brand visible on a startup budget: improve App Store discoverability, build audiences from zero across social platforms, and create educational content that could show — not just tell — how the app makes expense tracking painless.
I built the strategy around a clear picture of who needed this app most, and a set of objectives that turned "get noticed" into concrete work.
I created and managed Power Receipt's accounts on Instagram, X, TikTok, and YouTube — establishing a consistent visual identity around the brand's signature yellow and a friendly, educational voice.
I produced short-form video for TikTok and Instagram Reels — quick demos like "How to Scan Receipts in 2 Simple Steps," on-camera explainers, and playful creative that turned a utility app into content people actually watch.
I developed blog content on receipt management, expense tracking, and productivity — including posts like "How Can AI Revolutionize Bookkeeping with the Power Receipt App?" and "How to Use Folders for Managing Team Expenses" — pairing SEO value with genuine how-to utility.
I executed targeted email marketing campaigns promoting app downloads and feature updates to engaged subscribers.
Working with the product and design teams, I improved the app's visuals, screenshots, keywords, and descriptions, and monitored App Store analytics and engagement metrics to keep finding growth opportunities.
Instagram became the flagship channel. I launched @irvinesoftus as an educational hub for the people Power Receipt serves — small business owners, freelancers, and anyone drowning in paper receipts — with a profile built to convert a first visit into a follow: a clear value-led bio, the signature yellow identity, and a PowerReceipt story highlight that walks new visitors through the app.
